Continuing Education Credit
Through its partnership with PsychoEducational Resources (PER) CAPS is able to provide continuing education for psychologists, professional counselors, social workers, marriage & family therapists, masters–level psychologists, licensed clinical psychotherapists, mental health counselors, drug abuse counselors and clinical pastoral therapists.
PER is approved by the American Psychological Association to sponsor continuing education for Psychologists.
PER is recognized by the National Board of Certified Counselors (NBCC) to offer continuing education for Professional Counselors. PER adheres to NBCC Continuing Education Guidelines for awarding CE credits. PER is also an approved provider with the Ohio Counseling Board (RCX-129413).
PER is approved as a provider for social work continuing education (Provider # 1008) by the Association of Social Work Boards (ASWB), (1-800-225-6880) through the Approved Continuing Education (ACE) program. The following recognize the ASWB program: AK, AZ, DC, GA, IN, IA, KY, MA, MD, MO, MS, MT, NM, NC, NJ, OK, OR, RI, SC, TN, TX, UT, VA, VI, VT, WA, WI, and WY.
PER is also an approved provider with a variety of individual state boards which include: the Alabama Social Work Board, the Florida Board of Licensed Clinical Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, and Mental Health Counseling (CE Provider Tracking #50-1657, Board Provider #351, exp. 03/31/07), the Illinois Social Work Board (159-000505), the Iowa Board of Social Work (#153), the Maryland State Board of Social Work, the Ohio Social Work Board (RSX-019601), and the Texas Board of Social Work (CS 1596).
PER is also an approved provider to offer continuing education credit for MFTs and/or LCSWs as required by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences (Provider #PCE 203).
PER is also an approved provider to offer continuing education credit for social work in Arkansas.
PER is also an approved provider to offer continuing education credit for social workers, professional counselors, marriage and family therapists, master's level psychologists, licensed clinical psychotherapists, and alcohol and other drug abuse counselors in Kansas.
PER is also an approved provider to offer continuing education credit for mental health practice and for social work in Nebraska.
PER is an approved provider with the Texas State Board of Examiners of Marriage and Family Therapists.
PER is also an approved provider to offer continuing education credit for social workers, professional counselors, marital and family therapists, and clinical pastoral therapists in Tennessee.
PER is approved as a Continuing Education Home Study Provider by the National Association of Alcoholism and Drug Abuse Counselors (NAADAC) Provider #374 (exp. September 30, 2007).
