2008 CAPS Conference: Friday Night on the Town
We want you to relax and enjoy some of the sights and sounds of Phoenix on Friday evening, so no conference presentations will be scheduled that evening. Connect with friends, go out to dinner, take in a sporting event or theatrical production...or stay at the hotel for dinner and then enjoy a free concert that will be provided by musicians from Scottsdale Bible Church. Ultimate Shopping Experience Start your day at Mesa Riverview with a quick breakfast (on own) and have an opportunity to shop at a wide variety of stores or check out the beautiful aquarium at the Bass Pro Shop. Mid morning you will arrive at Scottsdale Fashion Square for a unique shopping experience. This< multi level mall has more exclusive retailers than anywhere else in Arizona. You will have many options to choose from for lunch here as well. Mid afternoon you are off to Tempe Marketplace where you can enjoy a movie at Harkins Theatres or more shopping if you wish at this Open-air marketplace. The scenery of rock cliffs and calm waters are a perfect back drop for photo’s. At noon it’s just a short distance to Goldfield Ghost Town where you can take an optional scenic ride on the Narrow Gauge Railroad, a mine tour, pan for gold, go horseback riding, check out the reptile museum, the gift shops and watch the western gun fight.
