In the longstanding tradition of fine conferences, our 2007 time together will examine the Transformation of the Person in Christ and the role that we play in that process.

It was over 50 years ago that a small band of mental health professionals, academicians and pastors convened for a conference on psychology and Christianity. That conference generated so much interest that another conference met the next year, and by 1956, the group decided to officially organize the non-profit association we now know as CAPS.

We have much to celebrate, but even more to look forward to in the future. We see God moving dynamically to make our association a place of relevance, camaraderie, and fulfillment for those who take their work and faith seriously. We stand for excellence in clinical and counseling acumen and in scholarship and are excited about the opportunities ahead.

Whether you are in clinical practice, academia, church-based counseling, research or are a student of the discipline, CAPS has something for you.
